Day 50, June 29, 2014

Get back on schedule:  Use your reading chart (or this blog) to find the chapters you still need to read to be caught up through:  Alma 26.

OR,

If you are up-to-date on your reading, take time to study Alma 17.

To ponder:
What are the things that make the sons of Mosiah successful missionaries?  What is your duty in sharing the gospel now and preparing for future full-time missionary service?

  1. I love that when Alma was traveling he runs right into the sons of Mosiah--and he rejoices that "they were still his brethren in the Lord"! Don't we feel this way when we come in contact with other members of the church who we may not have seen for some time? I am always so excited when this happens; although I do have to admit I just kind of 'expect' that they will still be active members of the Church! :)

Mosiah's sons were successful missionaries because they did ALL the things missionaries are supposed to do: they searched the scriptures, they prayed and fasted, they were pretty patient with all of the many trials and things that happened to them, and they worked really hard! They were and are great examples to each one of us.

I think our duty is exactly the same (but hopefully we will not have to have the same experiences as the sons of Mosiah to be great missionaries)! One of the most important things I think we can do to be successful missionaries is to teach and lead by example.
