  1. And Chapter 10! If you want the answer - truly desire to know that it may guide your life and know you will follow that answer whatever it is. He will give it to you.

There are many gifts and they are all equal - find, develop yours & use it to forward the work of God.

A personal testimony must be gained of these scriptures, of the gospel of Christ! We cannot stand at the last day without a solid, personal study of His gospel.

Thanks so much for setting this up Mom! This was an amazing experience! Read on!

  2. Chapter 10 is a perfect wrap-up to the Book of Mormon. I really enjoyed reading it together tonight and felt the spirit very strongly!

Verses 3-5 are a great challenge and reminder to us. God HAS been good to us. He HAS been merciful. And anyone who sincerely reads this book and prays about it and applies its principles WILL feel the Spirit and WILL receive a greater knowledge and truth.

I liked when he spoke of the gifts we receive. In verse 17 I really liked that he uses the word "severally". And in 18--"every good gift cometh of Christ."

I used to get confused with verse 22--because I thought that there were a lot of people who experienced despair who weren't iniquitous! But tonight as we read I realized more that it was regarding an eternal despair. We all experience despair in this life, but eternally we have faith and hope in Christ.

In verse 28, I like the word "hiss". It makes me think, visually, that even when people burn bibles, lock away prophets in prison, and seek to destroy the works of God, that God's work WILL continue. It will "hiss" out of the cracks, seeping, even slowly, through the bounds until it can be built up again.

I love verses 31-33. I love the challenge he gives us. His words are empowering. I DO want to arise from the dust. I DO want to strengthen my stakes and enlarge my borders so that I can't be confounded. I want to "become holy without spot." What beautiful words. What a beautiful book.

I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know that it is from God. I felt the spirit every day of this challenge whispering to me that this book is true. Our church is true. Our prophet speaks for God. And God's work cannot be stopped. I look forward to the day Christ comes again. I love him so much. And I love all of you. Thanks for sharing this experience with me. :)
